Overview
The Post War home had a small shared family bathroom space with a dated shower and vanity. The layout did not efficiently use space and the window did not provide adequate privacy. Brookie Build worked with the client every step of the way from design through delivery on bringing touches of luxury into their home.

Before
What We Did
- Optimized floorplan space
- Changed the bifold entry door from the hallway to the bathroom into a cavity slider door.
- Moved the entry door from the left to the right side of the room and reframed the opening to allow for more efficient use of hallway space external to the bathroom.
- Improved privacy
- Removed the old window
- Installed a high sliding frosted window with screens, at full room width to enable maximum natural light entry to the room.
- Interior design
- The styling of features was based on a cool colour palette with the use of soft greys and silvers to match the client’s preferences.
- Space and clutter removal was top of mind in the bathroom design interior aesthetics.
- Glass fixtures throughout
- Floating cabinetry with in-wall plumbing to ensure hidden pipes.
- In-wall toilet cistern.
- New energy-saving LED ceiling lighting
- Touches of luxury
- A double waterfall rain shower head.
- Marble tile feature to lead the eye from the entry point and wrap upwards to the ceiling above the shower.
- In-wall medicine cabinet with front makeup light and defog features.
- Natural timber bench block top for a day spa-like aesthetic on vanity.
Client testimonial
The dual rainfall shower heads were a great choice! The small touches of luxury, thoughtful floorplan and interior design choices made the small space really feel both glamorous and fully functional.
