In terms of other expensive parts of a bathroom renovation, we have also seen high costs associated with custom architectural features, e.g a bathtub in a glasshouse-type atrium was one request which added a high cost and was not a waterproofing explicit line item. High-cost natural stone or bespoke bathtubs for architectural design finishes will also bump up the luxury and the price tag to your build. The choice is yours on how you choose to invest!

Engineered stone benchtops, large-format tiles, matte-finish tapware, and soft-close custom cabinetry offer luxury and durability with easy upkeep. We recommend choosing your tapware and accessories carefully and adhering to their aftercare (cleaning) instructions. Using abrasive cleaners on some finishes may damage your fit-out for prolonged maintenance. Stainless steel is a fantastic long-term option, but it will be a higher cost.
How do I get more storage in my bathroom?
We design vanities, mirrored cabinets, recessed shelving, and built-ins tailored to your needs. We’ll help you make the most of every centimetre. Our cabinetmaker works to create cabinets purpose-built to your needs and spacing. Each job is custom-measured, and you will have a lot of control over the format of drawers, cupboards, laundry chutes, and any other fit-out requirements.
What lighting works best in bathrooms?
We recommend layered lighting, including overhead, task (mirror), and ambient lighting. Motion-sensor under-vanity lights are also a great low-profile upgrade.
Can you help with accessibility or future-proofing my bathroom?
Yes. We design bathrooms that work now and for years to come. This may include walk-in showers with or without bench seats, wider doorways, lever taps, and thoughtful layout planning to accommodate wheelchair access. For some of our projects, we have preinstalled extra timber in the walls for later grab-bar installation in key locations near toilets and within shower walls.
