Kenmore Entertainers Kitchen & Wet Bar

Crafted for your lifestyle

We create custom bar and wine cellar spaces that meet a wide range of needs, from practical to prestige. Images are representative for concept only.

Entertainer’s Bars

These spaces are built for social gatherings, with custom cabinetry, integrated sinks, refrigeration, and display lighting. Designs often include:

  • Open shelving or glass-front cabinets for bottles and glassware
  • Stone or timber benchtops for mixing drinks and serving
  • Mirror splashbacks, feature tiles, or LED strip lighting for ambience
  • Seating nooks or connection to living/dining zones

Styles range from industrial black and brass palettes to more coastal or classic timber designs.

Wine Collector’s Cellars

For those passionate about wine, a dedicated space can manage temperature, organisation, and long-term storage. Depending on budget and requirements, we can incorporate:

  • Climate-controlled cabinets or full walk-in cellars
  • Modular or custom shelving for bottle-specific storage
  • Timber, metal, or acrylic racking, depending on aesthetic and function
  • Viewing windows, architectural lighting, and tasting tables for display impact
  • Flooring, insulation, and door choices to support cellar conditions

Styles often reflect the home’s design, from rustic European to contemporary luxe.

Hybrid Utility Zones

Some homes benefit from a bar or wine display integrated within another space, such as a kitchen, living area, or hallway. These multi-use builds allow for:

  • A dry bar within a kitchen wall or pantry zone
  • Bar fridges and wine drawers integrated into island benches
  • Wine display walls with backlit shelving
  • Under-stair or alcove solutions in tight spaces
  • Smart storage for spirits, stemware, and accessories

Style examples include dark timber and stone contrast looks, clean white-and-brass combinations, and minimalist black-on-black designs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Planning a new bar, cellar or entertaining area renovation often comes with plenty of questions, and we’re here to make the process as clear and stress-free as possible. Below are answers to some of the most common things our clients ask when starting their journey.

Can a wine cellar be built in an area without natural ventilation?

Yes, wine cellars do not require natural ventilation. In fact, most collectors prefer a sealed environment with mechanical ventilation or climate control. Proper insulation, vapour barriers, and a dedicated cooling unit can maintain ideal humidity and temperature even in enclosed rooms.

Do I need a climate-controlled cellar to store wine?

It depends on how long you plan to store wine. For short-term storage, ambient conditions in a shaded room may suffice. For long-term ageing, consistent temperatures between 12-16°C and 60-70% humidity are ideal. Climate-control units help achieve this, especially in Brisbane’s hot and humid climate.

What types of appliances can be integrated into a bar?

We can integrate bar fridges, wine fridges, sinks, ice makers, glass washers, or even kegerators. Some clients opt for dual-zone wine fridges or under-bench fridge drawers depending on the setup and available space. We help source and coordinate appliances during the build.

How do I choose between a wine wall, walk-in cellar, or cabinet?

It comes down to how much you want to store and how you use the space. A wine wall or display cabinet works well for 20–100 bottles and suits entertainers. A walk-in cellar is ideal for collectors with larger cellars or for those wanting a tasting space. We can guide you based on lifestyle and available area.

Can a bar be added as part of a kitchen or living room renovation?

Yes, bars are often included as part of broader kitchen, dining, or living upgrades. Dry bars in pantries or adjacent cabinetry are popular, as are under-stair or corner units in open-plan rooms. In our portfolio a client in a Kenmore townhouse included a wet bar adjacent their kitchen as an entertainers delight.

What are common design styles for bars and wine cellars?

Styles range from contemporary black and timber contrasts to rustic reclaimed-timber cellars or minimalist white-and-glass designs. We can help develop a cohesive aesthetic based on your broader interior design.

How much wine can a typical cellar hold?

It varies widely. A small cabinet may hold 30–50 bottles, while a walk-in space can be designed to hold hundreds. For example, a 2m x 2m cellar with floor-to-ceiling racks can store over 500 bottles depending on rack type.

Do wine cellars or bars need special flooring?

Yes, especially cellars. Flooring should be non-porous and stable in temperature fluctuations. Tile, sealed concrete, or engineered timber are all good choices. Bars benefit from durable, stain-resistant surfaces that are easy to clean.

Can I include glass display windows in a wine cellar?

Yes, and you may choose to include viewing panels or glass walls. We use double-glazed or thermally insulated glass if the space is climate-controlled to prevent condensation and heat transfer.

Can you help with council approval if required?

Yes, if any structural, electrical, or plumbing work requires approval, we can guide you through the process and coordinate necessary documentation and compliance requirements. This may be a requirement for example in the case that you are constructing a new structure on your property as a standalone bar or entertainers structure.
