Overview
The Post War home layout was originally 3 bedrooms, but in a prior renovation was remodelled into 2 bedrooms with an open sunroom. There were no built-ins and the client had freestanding wardrobes. To enable space for a growing family, the original floor plan was restored. The popcorn ceiling was removed and new plastering, trim and paint were updated throughout. Energy-efficient LED lighting was installed for all ceilings. New extra tall doors were used for the bedrooms as the client wanted to increase airflow and space throughout the house. New aluminium windows were installed. Per-room additions during remodelling;
- Master Bedroom: Walk-in robe with premium features including; jewellery drawer with glass top, mirrored feature wall, and display shelving above hanging rails. Energy-efficient backlighting was installed above the hanging rails. French doors to the pergola were added by replacing an existing window to allow direct access to the private back deck retreat.
- Bedroom 2: Built-in desk as a study nook and double built-in robes.
- Bedroom 3: Built-in robe with mirrored door.

Client testimonial
Bedroom space is a premium need for family – the new layout really makes the most of it. I’m most impressed with the ingenuity of Brookie Build; to be able to design and squeeze in a whole walk-in robe in the master! I adore my glass-top jewellery drawer.
