The Post War home’s kitchen was long past its used-by date without an update in many decades. The client worked with Brookie Build on a full design and build kitchen process. The aesthetics of the interior design reflect the cottage-style charm of the building while bringing modern amenities into the space for everyday comfortable functionality.

Before
What We Did
- Remove the wall to open up the floor plan to improve the flow from the living/dining to the kitchen.
- Relocated the back door and opened up a new doorway into a step-down utility laundry/pantry room to further extend the space.
- Remove old walls, new plaster, trim, tiling and paint.
- New aluminium kitchen window.
- Install the kitchen cabinetry with a combination of stone and natural wood countertops (to match the clients aesthetic and flow with other rooms of the home).
- Sourcing of matching appliances, fixtures and fittings throughout to match the cool tone colour palette of interior design.
- Build the custom wine rack and drinks cabinetry.
- Custom-built spice pantry next to stove top for easy access.
- New pendant lights above sink counter.
