Overview
The home overall had very limited storage space throughout and the laundry/storage room was an unhappy experience for our client. Combined with a kitchen removal, the exterior lean-to storage area was encapsulated and made accessible internally to expand the usable floor space. A skylight was added to improve natural light in the home. The result was clean, neat, bright, and elegant.

What We Did
- Remove the wall to make a cased opening to the step down utility room.
- Sourced reclaimed hardwood timer flooring and cut to size to match in and extend hardwood flooring to new utility room steps, as well as within the flooring of the utility room itself.
- Designed and installed custom hardwood stairs.
- Installed utility room cabinetry, sink, appliances and fixtures.
- Install custom butcher block shelving.
- Install skylight to improve natural light.
- Install energy-efficient LED lighting.
